Tonight, we ran away to Mexico. We sat under strings of lightbulbs and the moonlit sky. The mud red walls of the surrounding buildings, the windows covered with brightly colored beads, the large leafy foliage dotting the area, and the mostly out of tune but still charming mariachi trio completed the intimate yet playful mood. Dinner was al fresco. Spicy guacomole prepared tableside in lava rock mortar with chips and warm tortilla, steak, chorizos, pork, roasted corn, tequilla, lime and frozen pomengranate margarita. It was good to relax and enjoy the slowpaced atmosphere south of the border. Well, really it was rosa mexicano but it felt no different than the real thing. really!!! This will be the only Valentines I spend with fiancee.
