Well if I do declare, I am in love! I have never felt transported into another world as I did tonight. You could not call this a performance because it was not the mere outcome of practice and talent. This was someone's beautiful vision coming to life. I can now be among those to claim that their soul was so moved by music. Yes, my first time watching Giacomo Puccini's La Boheme was luckily by The Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center and in orchestra seats too. The orchestra, set, lighting, opera singers, chorus, architecture and interior of the Met individually took my breath away. It took one cold winter's night and five years of living in nyc to finally experience it but it was worth the wait.

i wish i was there!
Nice!!!
glad you were able to come out and enjoy the experience!
waitasec, is la boheme hitting on my bro's girl?
la boheme at the MET (franco zeffirelli's set design?) = the worst first opera to see. b/c after that, you can hardly top it! when i saw it, the set was simply amazing...i think it got more applause than the vocalists. it's probably the best opera to see in winter. glad you finally did it!
it looks like a magical experience.
i remember you talking about wanting to go to the opera last winter. finally! congrats! fyi... amy's younger than moi. that other cutie pie would be my older sis julie. =)
Glad you had a great time! I've always wanted to watch an opera.
i can totally see Hulk going, "hulk like lighting! hulk like frilly period dresses! hulk love art direction! hulk like soprano but wish she would stop reaching for the high C#!" :p
now all you have to do is watch 'rent' bc that was a take off puccini's la boheme.
Hulk surprisingly cultured and refined! :)
i saw both musical and movie. the adaptation of La Boheme's "will you light my candle" in the Rent musical is ingenious!
sorry i missed you while i was in NYC
