  • Fun and casual Japanese themed meal with some spunky people.

    Starter: Salad with Ginger Dressing

    Entree: Chicken-Kat-Su and Dipping Sauce

Sides: Rice, Kimchi, Roasted Yellow and Red Peppers

Dessert: Beard Papa's Vanilla and Green Tea Cream Puffs

  • Me so tired.  Made galbi in the oven yesterday.  Sprinkled sliced mushrooms over the meat while it was in the oven.  yum!  Fresh red lettuce presented in a ceramic pot.  It made a nice center piece for the dinner table.

  • Thank you all for the WONDERFUL bday.     I couldn't have thought of a better way to celebrate the day than as I did.

One of my brothers came to dinner, and the other called me.  The funniest thing is my mom completely forgot about it.  It was the first year this happened.   When I called her to tell her about it, she was like really??  She felt so badly and apologized everytime she called me.  I'll take that as a sign that her life is happily busy.

Another memory of my dad.  Whenever we came home from college, he'd call out my brothers to drink beer or soju with fried chicken or dukbokki.  For me, he'd open up a bottle of sparkling champagne.  I generally don't like champagne unless it's Dom Perignon.  But it was in this way he showed his love for his daughter.  I'm starting to think that in some ways I am daddy's little girl.

  • Your Brain is 60.00% Female, 40.00% Male

Your brain is a healthy mix of male and female
You are both sensitive and savvy
Rational and reasonable, you tend to keep level headed
But you also tend to wear your heart on your sleeve

People have told me that i'm quite feminine and i like to think that i am.  Does this result disprove the theory?

  • Gramercy Tavern.  Spice Roasted Lobster with Fruit Chutney, Roasted Sweetbreads, Duck Breast with Fregola Cranberry Beans and Savoy Cabbage, Organic Chicken with Roasted Winter Vegetables, Dessert wine.  Each of my dishes were so pretty and tasty.  This is my favorite restaurant!

Ceasar starring Denzel Washington as Brutus.  He's such a natural.  I really enjoyed watching his performance live.  He made Brutus such a likeable character, that when he eventually stabbs Ceasar, you still really like him despite his crime.  Some things I noticed about Denzel were: he nods his head after making a point, and he has really buff arms.  Even at fifty, he's quite the looker.  I definitely want to re-read the play sometime.

    Also Seen on the Scene:

    * KATE BECKINSDALE, Brian McKnight and Jimmy Smits watchinng the same performance.

  • Great time in Orlando and Tampa, FL.  Tip: go when it rains to avoid the crowds.  Favorite rollercoaster: The Hulk.  It is green in color, makes roaring noises, has two large upside down and several sideways loops.  I sat in the front car and had my arms up the entire time and had so much fun that i puked a little bit after.  To feel better, I focused on some music a dj was playing in the theme park and almost forgot my nausea.

Just before watching the first show at Animal Kingdom: Lion King.  Animal Kingdom is my favorite park in disney world.  Here are the pics ya'll requested.

Kilmanjaro Safari.  It was pouring but the animals were all out.  =)

    Seuss Landing

Yankees Spring Training in Tampla, FL.  Here is roomie with Jeter.

Here is baseball icon Don Mattingly. They're both wearing the #23 jersey!

Here's wrangly looking Randy Johnson stretching.

    Godzilla/Matsui

What is the hype is all about?

Not a star player, but he was the only one nice enough to autograph our baseballs.

This is me wearing 8 layers including a Don Mattingly t-shirt on top of my down jacket in Florida.

The last time I got a stuffed animal that I really liked was in college.  It was my first beanie baby.  Since the bear was so small I took it everywhere with me in my backpack.  hehe   I was given a Gingy doll, the giant gingerbread from Shrek, to remember the trip by.  The only place Gingy's been with me is Starbucks one morning.

Someone's having fun in Ipanema and Buzio.

  • Off to Disney World and Yankee Spring Training I go~~  :)    Manicure came out salon pretty.   :)

  • Thank you spygirl for the quotes!

"If your plan is for a year, plant rice. If your plan is for a decade, plant trees. If your plan is for a lifetime, educate children."   -Confucious

This one made me think of my grandpa.  He buys and plants lots of trees and sponsors high school/college education for many.  He's old school in his thoughts and way of life (i'd be caught dead in shorts, a skirt, or a gucci handbag), but his vision is great.

  • A little Trivia:  You have a 5 gallon bucket and a 3 gallon bucket.  If you had an unending supply of water, could you make 4 gallons of water?

Sayings:  help!  Can anyone contribute a saying that makes you think?  I need to come up with a weekly saying as a part of our team and mind building exercise at work.

For example, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?" - Zen saying.  I'll post answer to this tommorrow.

Another example, "Passion and War" - Machiavelli.

Can you dance this well?  http://www.jengajam.com/r/Everybody-Dance-WMV        my someone sent this to me since i like C&C Music Factory.

  • Who has saved us and called us to a holy life not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. 2 Timothy 1:9

Isn't Jesus beautiful?  I see his beauty in the people around me: my friends, my brothers, parents
