  • Oh no.  I'm SOOOOO SOOOOO SOOOOO sad.   I lost one of my earrings.   :(     I'm pretty sure i had them at dinner.  So it must've fallen off while i was trying things on while shopping.  And worst part is i didn't notice till i got home and was about to wash up.  I called the store today and nothing.  I'm going to go there myself to see if anyone's found it.  This is a pretty sad prayer request but can you pray that i find them?

  • I can't tell whether some guy just hit on me or was just schmoozing with me for a business opportunity.  In any case he wants to discuss more over lunch and I'm alright with a free lunch.  :)

  • There is a no picture taking policy at Nobu.  I can understand why.  The Japanese/ Peruvian influenced restaurant though spacious from the inside, looks quite anonymous from the outside to cater to its high caliber clientele.  Tonight, I was one of them.  Among the celebrity sightings were Joan Clayton from my favorite UPN sitcom Girlfriends, Josh Vanderbilt from Dawson's Creek, and to top off the night I was two feet away from Pharrell.  He is sooo HOT.

You can take in the entire restaurant in one glance from the entrance.  A team of sushi chefs lining the right hand wall represented the skill of Japan.  Mud brown walls with large surfboard shaped hangings and tables and chairs made of wood represented the earthiness of Peru.  The restrooms were not up to par.

I felt what it must be like to be a tasting judge at the Iron Chef as I tasted the Omakase, a meal prepared at the chef's discretion.  To my delight each dish was prepared delicately and intricately and was visually pleasing.  Oysters Half Shell with Maui Onion Salsa, Nobu's Signature Broiled Black Cod with Miso, Tiradito Peruvian Style Sashimi-Red Snapper with a dot of hot sauce and one Cilantro leaf, medium rare Kobe Beef Steak, Clam Miso Soup, five different Sushi (Toro, Jumbo Clam), Gold shavings on top of Papaya Shaved Ice, Dark Chocolate Souffle and with a spoon of Green Tea Ice Cream.  I almost had to restrain myself from oohing and aahing at the different flavors.  After my Lychee Martini, two bottles of red wine, tax and tip the bill came out to $1160 or $193/pp.  At times like these I'm glad to work at my company, but I deserve it anyhow.  :)

  • It was so cute when my dad hugged my mom goodbye at the airport.  I think he did it naturally and then realized the kids were there.  I never saw even that much display of affection before.  Also this week he told me, "I can't be without Mom."    My parents have changed since they've finished sending all their kids through college.  I guess they have gotten quite mushy and good at spending time alone while we were away.  They go out to dinner with their friends, take care of each other when they are sick.  I like that and am so glad they rekindled their love for each other.

I know many people think that once the kids enter the world, the kids come before everything else.  But aside from God, the core unit of the family is the parents, the husband and wife. This unit should be the strongest and strong enough to hold everything else together.  I wish parents never have to lose their closeness while they are raising kids.  The American culture would more likely agree and the Korean one disagree that husbands should love their wife more than their children.

  • The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to obedience and warmth.
In love, you feel the most alive when your partner is patient and never willing to give up on you.
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.
Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage something you've always wanted... though you haven't really thought about it.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

  • Hey shorty, it's your... We're gonna party like it's your...

I wanted to throw a shout out to someone who has such a positive influence on my life.  When i'm down and out this person is always there to empathize with me and to help me see the bigger picture.  Things are never that bad since this friend makes me laugh, lets me be me, and always makes time for me.  Whether coming home late from work (2am), having a really bad cold (lasting 3+weeks), or having already spent time with me every single day, this girl always wants to talk/hang out more and see how i'm doing.  haha  Exceling in everything she puts her mind to, Radiating just good heartedness and sincere concern all around, Showing me how to be a good friend by being one, Seeing the best in me and others around them, I want to wish my very good friend of 14 years!, Grace Kim, a Very Happy Birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRACE!  I've been so blessed and am having such a great time this year as roommates.     I hope this year will be even more filled with blessings for you.  Have a great day!  Praise the Lord!  Sing to the Lord a new song!  Psalms 149:1
