Rolls and more half price at Osaka! We studied joy/happiness. God's source of pleasure is us. He desires a relationship with us and longs to be included in every part of our lives. Once we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart. In that order. Our first desire must be to have a relationship with God. When we establish that relationship and let Him know how we are doing and our prayer requests, we will later find them answered and be truly blessed from counting our answered prayers and from sharing them with fellow believers. We keep coming back to Him because we've tasted and remembered that He is good. Like the zucchini bread made from scratch. Afterwards we jammed with guitar, electric guitar, and vocals till 2am.

I've been dreaming about this very day ever since i was a little girl. I've pictured in my head just how magical it would be, just how much my heart would race. The exhileration. The momentous question. At times I'd be scared but mostly excited. It's something i've been writing about in my xanga since the beginning. Somehow I've always dreamt it would happen in San Franscico but having it happen in the world's greatest city is even better. I've witnessed so many people go through this. Now my BIG day is finally here. Did I pass? Yes I got my driving license!!!!!

Metropolitan Opera in the Park. Tosca by Pucini. Some friends have kick ass jobs and so was able to get a large spot right by the front. They also brought red wine, grapes, cheese, sausage, and crackers. We had so much space that we were all able to lie down to hear the music. By the end we were getting pretty bored and decided to count the stars! haha It was difficult to keep track because more stars kept appearing in the night sky.

This past Saturday we hiked at Mohonk Preserve. We thought about canceling due to the rainy weather forecast but as luck would have it, it was blue skies all the way.
Garden before the hiking trail

Our hike
Helping everyone up at the top of a very tall and narrow climb.
Don't we look like worker ants?
We had to pass all the bags up in an assembly line so we could pass through the huge boulder in the middle. I was very excited to be trekking along a dangerous path and I felt like Indiana Jones or the LOTR characters.
One of the last ones out, surveying what land to pursue next. See how narrow the opening is??

Smiling pretty and enjoying the view.
Taking pics from the top.
At home on the edge

An extended family/friends group stayed here and they were all wearing t-shirts inscribed Happy 60th, i guess in celebration of grandpappy's 60th bday.
I just love how the water runs below this outdoor patio. That aspect is similar to the design of the house i've dreamed of.
The Asian Dawson's Creek.
Flower - i don't know which one it is either.

Al Fresco dining was the theme this Memorial Day weekend thanks to the gorgeous gorgeous weather.
Fri - Wolfgang's Steakhouse: porterhouse steak, cottage fries, creamed spinach, lobster cocktail, canadian bacon, red wine. Madagascar
Sat - Chelsea Market: This place is amazing! It's right on par with Wholefoods, Stew Leonards and Wegmans. Who wants to come back with me and help me buy one thing from each store and attend a food tv show taping? Things i tried this time: Lobster Place Lobster roll, Buonitalia Italian chicken parm sandwich, Chelsea Thai ice tea, Fatwitch brownies, Elenis cookies. Markt: mussels in cream sauce, beef stew, Belgian ale. It's a great place to have brunch with 4-6 friends. Forbidden City: martinis
Sun - Fatburger: baby fatburger with chili, chili cheese fries, onion rings. It was nice to catch up with friends by the Newport waterfront. Cranium
Mon - After walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, it was already near 2pm and there was a very long line outside Grimaldi's Pizzeria. I was starved. However, the line went quickly and soon we were feasting on the famous Grimaldi's pizza topped with fresh red peppers, mozzarella and sausage. It was soooo good. The pizza was so filling that i was thankful for another long line outside of Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. Naturally, I had my favorite: Peaches and Cream. The Chocolate Chocolate Chunk was yummy too. Luckily the New York Water Taxi was right there to take us the shortest distance back to Manhattan and South Street Seaport.
